Built in 1790 this architectural gem was the first brick home built on Warren St, (originally ‘Main Street’), and constructed as the residence of Thomas Jenkins, one of the wealthiest early proprietors and founders of Hudson. In 1848 the ‘Misses’ Peake established the Hudson Seminary for Young Ladies attracting the vicinities most affluent young ladies for more than thirty years. Around 1878 the home once again became a family home and in 1894 became the hotel Graceland, and at the turn of the century became the Howard Hotel.
The Howard Hotel offers seven bright and spacious variety of en-suite rooms. Select from three queen rooms with sitting area, two king rooms with sitting and dining/work areas, and two one-bedroom units with full kitchen living and dining.
